    Description

This is the famous NeoPixel-compatible digitally addressable RGB LED strip based on SK6812 or WS2812B. Yes, and it is, of course, compatible with the NeoPixel library from Adafruit. This LED strip comes in a 1-meter length with 144 SK6812/WS2812B 5050 LED. Wrapped in a Silicone weather-proof jacket. SK6812 or WS2812B is an addressable RGB LED, controllable from many microcontrollers including Arduino, Teensy, Raspberry Pi, ESP8266, ESP32, and many more. And the best of all, the control of all these LEDs uses ONLY ONE digital output pin from the controller.

These LED strips are fun and glowy. With 144 RGB LEDs per meter, you can set the color of each LED's red, green, and blue component with 8-bit PWM precision (so 24-bit color per pixel). The LEDs are controlled by shift registers that are chained up down the strip so you can shorten or lengthen the strip. Only 1 (one) digital output pin is required to send data down. The PWM is built into each LED-chip so once you set the color you can stop talking to the strip and it will continue to PWM all the LEDs for you.

The strip is made of flexible PCB material and comes with a weatherproof sheathing (Silicone Jacket). You can cut this stuff pretty easily with wire cutters, but you need to seal the silicone jacket yourself :) Of course, you can also connect strips to make them longer, just watch how much current you need!

BTW, these LEDs should be powered with 5VDC supply and depending on the usage, each LED can take up to 60mA if all three RGB colors are at full PWM duty cycle (full brightness). Do not use a supply higher than 6V as it will destroy the entire strip. The strip comes in 1 meter with a 3-pin JST SM connector on each end and separated power/ground wires. These strips are sold in 1-meter length (144 LEDs).

To wire up these strips we suggest picking up a 2.1mm DC jack to terminal in so you can connect one of the 5V wall adapters (5V 4A, 5V2A) to power it. For the data + ground pins, you can pick up a 2-pin JST set to turn it into a quick connection. Check out this video by How to Mechatronics:
