This is the new breakout board for the famous and mature 3 axis ADXL335 from Analog Devices. It is the latest in a long, proven line of analog sensors - accelerometers. The ADXL335 is a triple axis MEMS accelerometer with extremely low noise and power consumption - only 320uA! The sensor has a full sensing range of +/-3g.

The breakout board comes with on-board 3.3V voltage regulator, therefore it supports voltage range from 2.5V to 6V.

Board comes fully assembled and tested with external components installed. The included 0.1uF capacitors set the bandwidth of each axis to 50Hz.

Hi, I already bought the circuit and would like to measure the output voltage for each axis using Arduino Uno. Since this circuit has 3.3V voltage regulator and I supplied it with 5V, what should I do so I can measure the voltage value accurately? ( Tee, 03/04/2019 )

Hi, for the accelerometer you can read the data at Arduino UNO but you have to process the input to make it 5V with an additional circuit. For more info please post on our forum.

Hello, may i know that what is the different between the 3-axis accelerometer and also the triple axis accelerometer breakout? If i wan to detect a fall of the elderly then which is more suitable to use? I will use this together with the arduino mega. ( Lim Hok Hong, 26/10/2015 )

Hi, The function for both sensor are the same because they are using same IC. The difference is input voltage for 3-Axis Accelerometer is 2.5V-6.0V while triple axis accelerometer breakout board is 1.6V - 3.6V. Another difference is  triple axis accelerometer breakout board are from Sparkfun and the other one is made by Cytron. Thanks. :)
