Bluetooth Single Mode 4.0 for mBot

Note: This Bluetooth module is compatible with both mBot V1.0 & V1.1 but since mBot V1.1 already come with a Bluetooth module in the kit, this can be a good replacement or backup for it.

Note: If you are using the MakeBlock app (Android), you can directly connect the Bluetooth and control the mBot without using the mBlock graphical interface program. The code is required only when you want to control mBot using a computer or laptop.

MakeBlock app is a free application that is specifically designed for mBot robots. It's an easy way for users to pair cellphones with mBot by Bluetooth, we could play with mBot immediately, without programming and updating the firmware.

What is the mBot robot? mBot robot is a high-cost performance, ways to run robot kit for students to achieve the STEM project. You could use Bluetooth to connect mBot with a cellphone easily, the app has integrated the main functionality of mBot, which contains motion control, automatic line-tracking, ultrasonic obstacle-avoiding, buzzer, RGB LED, and so on.

The Bluetooth module is mainly used for short-range wireless data transmission. It can easily connect to Bluetooth devices including smartphones or tablets. Besides, the module allows wireless data transmission between two modules. So, users will no longer be hindered by messy wires and spatial constraints. Using the Bluetooth module, you can wirelessly control Makeblock robots (mBot, Ranger, Ultimate, and more) with your smartphone or tablet (Bluetooth enabled).

You just need to put the Bluetooth module into the Wireless Module port on the mBot robot.
