Do you know that Raspberry Pi (not Zero series) comes with RCA output? So you can actually connect to the old TV or monitor can accept RCA (a.k.a composite) input only, both Video and Audio. This RCA A/V Cable is meant for this purpose. It enable you to turn your Pi 3, 2, A+ or B+'s output into a full on composite video and audio device.  Simply connect the cable to your Raspberry Pi's 3.5mm jack (between CSI camera and Etherner socket) and the other side into whatever device you're looking to connect to and get full RCA visuals and sound.

So you can make use of your old bulky TV :)  Yellow's for composite video while red and white are for stereo audio.  The cable is around 1.5 meter long.

Note: Not for Raspberry Pi Zero series of board.
