40-pin PIC Start-Up Kit Combo 1 is combination of SK40C and a PIC16F877A.

For tutorials of using SK40C, please visit our tutorial site, there are currently 15 projects, though the tutorial uses PIC16F887, "most" of the code is compatible with PIC16F877A. Here is the video of projects:

HI, I just purchased this starter kit for learning purpose. But I found that the tutorial link https://tutorial.cytron.io/2011/08/05/getting-started-sk40c-pic16f887/ is not valid anymore. Where can I find the latest tutorial using MPLABX. Thanks. ( Goh Thiam How, 08/11/2019 )
Hi, you may refer to this link for project tutorials. Thanks :)

Hi, please email to support@cytron.com.my :)
Hi cytron!, i want to power up my pic starter kit using 12v battery. so, what is the spec for the pic voltage and current to power it up without damaging it. ( Zackwan, 02/10/2016 )

Hi, yes you can use 12V.

If you have further question, you can ask at our technical forum, as this session is only for short inquiry. Thanks. :)

I bought this PIC kit, I inject the input 9v battery onto this board but output on Vss produced only 5v, why only 5v output can produced? Can this board inject 9v battery? ( pian mubarak, 02/05/2015 )

I guess the correct label should be VDD, right? VSS normally refer to GND. VDD is 5V as stated in User's Manual as it is regulated from the Vin to 5V by the on board. If it is not regulated, the PIC will be damage as the maximum voltage of PIC is 5.5V. If you want the unregulated voltage, check the Vin pin. As stated on the board, the Vin can support 7V to 15VDC.

If you have further inquiry, please do discuss in our technical forum as this section is for short inquiry, thanks :)

Kindly need all the libraries for sk40c (PIC16f877a) ( Alen, 04/03/2015 )

We have sample code which you can download under the Attachment tab with the title of "16F Sample Source Code". We do not have libraries for PIC16F877A, but there is sample code :) If you have further inquiry, please do discuss in our technical forum as this section is for short inquiry, thanks :)
