After Cytron's 1st 10Amp smart drive, now we introduce the 60Amp version! It supports dual channels, 60A continuous current for each channel. Building combat/sumo robot become easy, choose motor+wheel, get high power battery, thick wire, connect it to MDDS60, choose a RC controller and you have a robot !! With knowledge and feedback we gathered from MD10C, MDD10A, MD30C, MDDS10 and MDS160A, we are thrilled to launch this smart motor driver and can't wait to see what you can do with it.
SmartDriveDuo60 has smart features of MDDS10, with higher continuous current capability, 60Amp each channel. It even has brushless fan attached on the top cover to cool it! MDDS60 is ready with the capability to accept RC (Radio Control) signal for mix mode drive, analog voltage from potentiometer, PWM from microcontroller (Arduino, PIC, or any other microcontroller), and even controlled via UART (serial) command. The operation modes is configure by the DIP switch on MDDS60. The commonly used configurations are printed on bottom cover. High current MOSFETs are switching at 16KHz for quiet operation. To cover the driver properly and to mount the fans for cooling, we have added top and bottom cover! Nice!
With the on board temperature sensor, this smart driver is able to limit the output current stage by stage preventing itself from overheat and burnt! The peak current is 100A for 1 second and it will automatically limit the output current.
Not to forget, to make it RC receiver friendly, we have added 2x3 header pin; with just 2 RC extension cable, the wiring is done, and it takes 1 minutes!
With MDDS60, you can now series up 3 SLA battery to power your motor as it support up to 45V DC input. And you only require one power input to operate the motor and driver. Don't worry, 3-cell and 6-cell Li-po battery are within the operating voltage :) Hey! It also come with battery low voltage warning feature, what else do you need?

* Do use proper wire/cable for battery and motor connection. Think jumper wire/cable cannot support high current application. We recommend using AWG8 Red and Black multicore wire.

MDDS60, Joystick in central position does cause motors to jitter and control lamps to flicker.Dear Mdm, SirI'm trying out some of the functions. However, when I connect a standard or a more sophisticated joystick, and even if I checked the central position of the joystick around 2.5 Volts, both motors receive some power (they jitter) and both motor control lights in the controller are flickering. This is only with the Joystick, have checked all settings and tried with several joysticks and potentiometers. There is no problem with RC. Purchased this Motor Driver to power an electric go-kart. I want to make sure if the kart stalls, there won't be an over-current condition that will destroy the motor driver. What is the best way to protect against overcurrent? Would a 100A fuse on each motor output provide proper protection against a stall situation? ( Gene Ruebsamen, 24/02/2022 )

Hello, I bought three controllers and with the largest, the 2x60 A I have a question.The PMDC motor we have is rated at 24V at 54 Amps (103A start and 163 stall).The start Amps are just above the max. of the 2x60 controller.OPur idea is to drive up the Voltage as this type of motor can easily handle for example 30V.The use is intermittently so the heat will stay low. We figunred that the motor would perhaps be a little more tolerant then the controller. By driving up the voltage, the current draw would drop to levels that could be within acceptablerange to handle the starting current. The stall current will never be reached (safety stop).Which information would be relevant for us to take into account when using this controller, witha step converter for example. The RC pulse width range is fixed for the motor driver and cannot be changed. If you have a programmable RC transmitter, you can change the end point settings in your RC transmitter instead. Thanks.

I'm afraid not. This motor driver is only rated up to DC 45V and 60A continuous / 100A peak current. Currently we do not have any motor driver which meet your requirement. Thanks.
Is it possible to disable feature which checks that input signal should be 0 when unit is started? I would want to use this in car as a fuel pump controller, where max current draw for the pumps DC motor is 37A (100% duty 30s max). Continous duty is around 20-25% for max 2-3 hours.I'm asking this because, when power is switched on, ECU sends PWM signal right after startup for priming pulse and I can't start this controller before ECU.
