Description: The FlexiForce sensor is an ultra-thin, flexible printed circuit. The force sensors are constructed of two layers of substrate (polyester/polyimide) film. On each layer, a conductive material (silver) is applied, followed by a layer of pressure-sensitive ink. Adhesive is then used to laminate the two layers of substrate together to form the force sensor. The active sensing area is defined by the silver circle on top of the pressure-sensitive ink. Silver extends from the sensing area to the connectors at the other end of the sensor, forming the conductive leads. Sensor is terminated with male square pins, allowing them to be easily incorporated into a circuit. The two outer pins of the connector are active and the center pin is inactive.

Can the sensor be customized? I would like to shorten the length of the flex sensor. Can it be done? ( Talha Shahid, 16/10/2019 )
Hi! We're sorry as this product cannot be customized. Thanks :)
is this sensor water proof
( metro, 29/05/2017 )
Hi, there is no information about water proof from the supplier. Anyway, the sensor is covered by plastic, so if you put a few drops of water it should be ok. However we are not recommended for water proof resistant application. If you have further questions, please go to our technical forum, as this session only for short inquiry. Thanks.
hi i would like to ask was this sensor possible to support human body weight ? not for the force measurement but to trigger if the human step on the sensor and it will send the signal to run the actuator as the function. ( hafiz, 22/07/2015 )

Hi. It can only support 0-25lbs (0-11.3398kg) force range. If you have further inquiry you can discuss it in our technical forum because there is more technical members for better suggestions.
