If you've been searching for distance measurement and object detection sensor at rock-bottom price, look no further! This legendary HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor is your perfect choice. It offers excellent range accuracy and fairly stable readings at very low cost. It requires two digital I/O pins (an output pin and an input pin) to interface with it.

Ultrasonic sensor is created based on the principle of echolocation used by animals like bats and dolphins. Since ultrasonic sensor uses sonar to determine the distance to an object, its operation is not affected by sunlight, spotlight and object's surface color which will affect the readings of any infrared distance sensors. However acoustically soft materials such as clothes can be difficult to detect.

Looking for ultrasonic range finder with better performance and smaller size? This Maxbotix LV-MaxSonar-EZ1 is the one you can count on.

I bought this sensor last week, and on the packet it says"100% tested" however when I tried to test today both of the ones sent those not work. The signal given back says "0" ( Not important, 21/02/2019 )
Hi, can you email us the photo of your setup and explain how you do wiring to support@cytron.io.
Can I use this with raspberry pi? ( Vento, 03/10/2018 )
Yes, you can.

hi, im about to ask is the HC-SR04 ultrasonic can work with the quadcopter? im about to attach this sensor as autonomous control for my quadcopter f450 frame, with 920kv motor. more specific is that the motor noise will disturb the wave receiver to the sensor? how bad is it, if it is effected? ( keith, 04/10/2016 )

Hi, we never test HC-SR04 with quadcopter. However we have search and found this link.

If you have further question, you can ask at our technical forum, as this session is only for short inquiry. Thanks. :)

HC-SR04 is having Trig input 100 kHz will it take internally or we have to supply it externally ( Shridevi, 02/09/2016 )

Hi,

Need to use external supply.

If you have further question, you can ask at our technical forum, as this session is only for short inquiry. Thanks. smiley?

Hello, I have bought this sensor, I have tested it by connecting it to PIC18F with code to detect distance. There are 4 pins, 3 of them I connect to PIC (Vdd, Gnd, Trig) and then Echo pin I connect to multimeter to see the voltage response with regards to obstacle. I cannot get maximum 400cm (4m) as stated in your page. I only get 4V at 22cm and the reading stay at 4V for farther distance. Anything I need to do? Thanks. ( tirinti segil, 02/08/2016 )
