hi do i need to attach resistor for this IR set to prevent it from burn out? ( Bon Hee Tan, 02/06/2018 )
Hi, you can refer to this tutorial - How to use IR sensor. Thanks.
Can you please fix the attachment link? It's not working ( Tan Zhe Xin, 24/05/2018 )
Hi, thanks for your feedback. We already fix it.
what is the difference of this sensor and the PIR sensor module? I just need a sensor to detect object, which do you recommend? sorry im new in electronics. ( SuBi, 24/05/2018 )
Hi, this sensor is suitable for line detection while PIR is more on motion. To detect object, you can consider to use Medium range Infrared Sensor which can detect obstacle/object up to 10cm. For further questions, please visit to our technical forum for similar question or post your question there, as this session is only for short inquiry. Thanks.
Can I use this sensor to decode IR signals coming from remote controls? ( Jimmy, 14/10/2016 )

Sorry, you cannot use it.

If you have further question, you can ask at our technical forum, as this session is only for short inquiry. Thanks. :)

i still dont understand, the sensor connected Vcc & gnd only in the film. how could it decrease the distance down to 2cm by other method? ( mk yang, 23/01/2016 )

If you look carefully, there are also other components in the video. Example resistors and Arduino to read and process the output voltage from sensor. You have to try it to know the result.

BTW, please do continue the discussion in our technical forum as this section is for short inquiry, thanks for your understanding.

According to the film,it is much longer than 2cm,almost 15cm between the sensor and the paper.why u say 1~2cm? ( Mkyang, 22/01/2016 )

Hi, it is depending on how you use it (i.e obstacle/reflective surface and resistor value). Its normal range is 1~2cm. Thanks.

What is the angular and normal range of this sensor ? ( Harshkant, 17/01/2016 )

Hi, It depends how you use it. Normal usage will be able to achieve 1 to 2 cm. Thanks. :)

the tutorial you provided is only showing how to calculate the raw voltage, but no distance. Can you provide the calculation about how to calculate the real measure distance? ( Kong, 21/12/2015 )

Hi, In order to get the distance, you need to do the experiment and tabulate the result. From tabulated data, plot into a graph and get the equation from the graph (distance vs value graph). For further inquiry, kindly visit our technical forum as this session is only for short inquiry. Thanks. :)

Hi can this sensor's sensitivity goes down to steps per mm? from 0mm to 100mm ? Also is this available in singapore? Thanks in adv. ( Andy, 13/11/2015 )

Hi, You can refer to this tutorial. In this tutorial, it explains on how this sensor works and calculating its sensitivity. You need to purchase it online and we does ship the items to Singapore. Thanks :)
