This AI Computer Vision Workshop suits Lecturers, Trainers, AI developers, and Engineers.If you choose the workshop option, you will need to attend the workshop at Cytron HQ which will be conducted by Dr. Teoh, based on the Jetson NVidia Jetson Orin Nano AI Computer Vision Training kit. The Orin Nano Training kit comes fully assembled, ready in a metal case, and a camera module. We have also loaded JetPack 5.1.2 in an NVMe SSD which is also ready for you to log in and start the hands-on workshop within 5 minutes.

Dr. Teoh Shen Khang is a seasoned academic and industry professional with a proven track record in the fields of computer engineering, embedded systems, robotics, artificial intelligence, and video surveillance. He holds a Bachelor of Information Technology (First Class Honors) from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) and advanced his academic pursuits with a Master of Engineering Science and a Doctor of Philosophy (Engineering) from the same institution.
Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology at UTAR, Dr. Teoh brings over 15 years of valuable teaching experience to the classroom. His passion for technology is evident in his research and training endeavors, which have focused on cutting-edge topics such as embedded systems, robotics, AI, and computer vision.
Recognizing the importance of continuous professional development, Dr. Teoh has obtained certifications as an HRD Corp Accredited Trainer and AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate level). The developer kit comprises a Jetson Orin Nano 8GB module (Developer Version) and a reference carrier board that can accommodate all Orin Nano and Orin NX modules, providing an ideal platform for prototyping your next-gen edge AI product. The Jetson Orin Nano 8GB module features an NVIDIA AmpereTM GPU and a 6-core ARM CPU, enabling multiple concurrent AI application pipelines and high-performance inference. The carrier board boasts a wide array of connectors, including two MIPI CSI connectors supporting camera modules with up to 4-lanes, allowing higher resolution and frame rate than before.
The prior-generation Jetson Nano Developer Kit made AI accessible to everyone. The new Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit raises the bar for entry-level AI development with 80x the performance, enabling developers to run any kind of modern AI model, including Transformer and advanced robotics models. Not only does it provide a huge boost in AI performance over the prior-generation Jetson Nano, but Jetson Orin Nano also provides 5.4x the CUDA compute, 6.6x the CPU performance, and 50x the performance per watt.
The Jetson Orin Nano operates with JetPack 5.1.2 OS. To boot the Jetson Orin Nano from NVMe, the JetPack 5.1.2 needs to be loaded using a Ubuntu host PC with the Nvidia SDK Manager. Not only do we need a Ubuntu host computer with Nvidia SDK Manager, but we will still need the Jetson Orin Nano Dev kit itself to load the JetPack into the NVMe SSD. Worry not! We have done the hard work for you. This is a MakerDisk NVMe 2280 M-Key MakerDisk SSD, preloaded JetPack 5.1.2, ready to boot up on the Jetson Orin Nano Dev board.
It takes only ~42 seconds to boot into the login screen. And since the Jetson Runtime Components (CUDA Runtime, CUDA X-AI Runtime, etc) and SDK components (CUDA, Computer Vision, etc) are preinstalled, the OS is pre-configured. Once the NVMe MakerDisk SSD with JetPack boots up, please proceed to log in with the pre-configured username and password:
Username: orin_nano
Password: jetson
Note: It is normal for the screen to go blank and the fan stops during the boot-up process.
Please DO NOT power off without proper shutdown from the Desktop. It will corrupt the JetPack image in the NVMe SSD.
A camera module is a must-have if you're working on image processing projects and this Raspberry Pi 8MP Camera Module V2 does the work perfectly! It features an ultra-high quality 8MP(megapixel) SONY IMX219 image sensor (up to 5MP on the V1 camera board), and a fixed focus lens. This V2 camera module is capable of 3280 x 2464 pixel static images and also supports 1080p @30fps, 720p @ 60fps, and 640x480p90 video.

Since the Jetson Orin Nano Dev Kit comes with ONLY a Display Port (DP) 1.2 WITHOUT HDMI port, we have also included a DisplayPort to Standard HDMI A/Female Adapter for your convenience. Of course, you will need a standard HDMI cable (which is also included in the box) to use it with an HDMI LCD monitor. We have tested this DP to HDMI adapter with the Jetson Orin Nano Dev kit, and it works perfectly!

The NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit includes a special NVIDIA Orin Nano 8GB module with an SD-card slot, a reference carrier board, a preassembled heatsink/fan, a 19V DC power supply, and an M.2, Key-E wireless (WiFi and Bluetooth) networking module. In addition to the bootable microSD card slot, two M.2 Key-M NVMe sockets are provided on the underside of the carrier for high-speed storage.
