    The MOD 9001D GSM/GPRS Modem mostly fits the need of data transfer, with SMS data communication, GPRS data navigation, Circuit Switch / Data Connectivity and TCP/IP protocol etc. This modem using SIM300Z chip for communication with service provider, Sim 300 can supporting AT command set like sending SMS, receiving call, receive SMS and data connectivity but not including MMS data communication.     i cant connect the gsm directly to the laptop. it is because my laptop is 15 pin and the serial cable is 9 pin.can you suggest a cable or any ways to solve this problem.thank you ( yana, 30/11/2015 )

    That is possible, but since MOD-9001D is not Arduino Shield, it is not stackable on Arduino main board. Besides the protocol is different so the example will need to be modified before it can be used on MOD-9001D.     Not really understand your question, The COM port is detected by computer not the GSM module. Are you using USB to Serial converter? Or you are connecting direct to DB9 com port of computer?
