Description: This is a fantastically easy-to-use MaxBotix ultrasonic range finder. We are extremely pleased with the size, quality, and ease of use of this little range finder. The serial interface is a bit odd (it's RS232 instead of standard TTL), but the PWM and Analog interfaces will allow any micro to listen easily enough. The sensor provides very accurate readings of 0 to 255 inches (0 to 6.45m) in 1 inch increments with little or no dead zone!

Maxbotix is offering the EZ0, EZ1, EZ2, EZ3, and EZ4 with progressively narrower beam angles allowing the sensor to match the application. Please see beam width explanation below.

Control up to 10 sensors with only two pins! Checkout the Maxbotix FAQ.

Features:
  • 42kHz Ultrasonic sensor
  • Operates from 2.5-5.5V
  • Low 2mA supply current
  • 20Hz reading rate
  • RS232 Serial Output - 9600bps
  • Analog Output - 10mV/inch
  • PWM Output - 147uS/inch
  • Small, light weight module
  • Specific model: MD1010

Example of application with SK40C can be refer to SK40C tutorial page, project 6 is showing all the method to read and use this sensor, interface and sample code can be use.

I m looking for ultrasonic sensor for crack monitoring... is this sensor can be used..to detect cracked..
( vidya shini, 16/02/2018 )
The main purpose of this sensor is to measure distance (range finder). We not sure for crack monitoring. For further questions, please visit to our technical forum for similar question or post your question there, as this session is only for short inquiry. Thanks.
Is the sensor can produce output waveform with X-axis time and Y-axis amplitude. I m looking for ultrasonic sensor for crack monitoring. Thanks. ( Leow, 17/01/2016 )

Hi, What do you mean by "sensor can produce output waveform with X-axis time and Y-axis amplitude"? If it is plotting graph "output vs time" or "sampling", it can be done in your coding or by using oscilloscope. Kindly visit our technical forum as this session is only for short inquiry.Thanks. :)

Product Code: SN-LV-EZ1 Ultrasonic Range Finder May I confirm that the above sensor part number is MB1010? I need this. Thanks.. ( Ray Soon, 25/04/2015 )

Yup, our stock is MB1010.

Is the range of ultrasonic beam is affected during rain? ( Faikar, 05/12/2014 )

Well, it depends on how heavy is the rain :) But the rain drops will be able to reflect the ultrasonic wave. If you have further inquiry, please do discuss in our technical forum as this section is for short inquiry, thanks :)
