Power Up the Robo Pico

This guide will show you how to power up your Robo Pico by choosing one of the 3 methods available.


We have 3 ways to power up the Robo Pico.

  1. USB micro B cable (5V)
  2. Single Cell Li-Po/Li-Ion Battery (3.7V)
  3. Vin (3.6-6V)

Method #1 : USB micro B cable (5V)

1. Use a USB micro B cable to connect your Raspberry Pi Pico / Pi Pico W to the computer. 

2. Turn on the power switch on Robo Pico.
Note: Always switch on the Robo Pico while flashing the code or running your uploaded code.

 

Method #2 : Single Cell Li-Po / Li-Ion Battery (3.7V)

1. Connect a single Cell Li-Po / Li-Ion battery to the Li-Po battery connector.

2. Turn on the power switch on Robo Pico.
Note: Always switch on the Robo Pico while flashing the code or running your uploaded code.

Note: Note: The Single Cell Li-Po / Li-Ion battery can be recharged by using USB micro B cable to connect the Raspberry Pi Pico / Pi Pico W to a power source.
 

Method #3 : Vin (3.6-6V)

1. Insert AA batteries into a battery holder with exposed end wires.

2. Insert and tigthen the exposed end into the Vin terminal block (light green).

3. Turn on the power switch on Robo Pico.
Note: Always switch on the Robo Pico while flashing the code or running your uploaded code.
