Description
Cytron 10A Motor Driver Shield (Arduino)"SHIELD-MD10" is a compatible Arduino motor shield for controlling high current brushed DC motor up to 10A continuously. It should be stacked on to an Arduino main controller board such as Arduino UNO R3. It is compatible with:

This Motor Driver shield uses full solid-state components which results in faster response time and eliminates the wear and tear of the mechanical relay. It has stackable side headers which allow for more Arduino shields to be stacked on top of it. Each shield comes with two mini jumpers for you to select different digital pins for PWM (speed) and DIR (direction), so you can actually stack more shields together.

Note: Starting from July 2015, all Cytron 10A Motor Driver Shield (Shield-MD10) shipped from Cytron are Rev2.0. There is an improvement made. The label changes at the front and back of the shield alike shown in the figure.

I like to use this with Simhub .. but it does not show up in the Arduino sketch menu ...is it compatible with any other of the shields listed? ( Eric Orchin , 26/05/2023 )
Not answered yet.
Could i connect a bluetooth device over this driver when connected to Arduino? ( TimH, 09/06/2022 )
Hi, you may need to use Arduino that have wifi module or connect transceiver to the Arduino. The product are mentioned below :1. Bluetooth Serial Transceiver HC-052. Bluetooth Serial Transceiver HC06
I would like to connect the shield to the Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC ZCU104, should I use the "Optional External Control" to send information about PWM and DIR? Thanks. ( Simone, 09/05/2022 )
Hi, to answer your question is Yes, you need to use the "Optional External Control"
Hi, what would happen if I connect it to a motor that draws 17Amps? Can I control the current to the motor? ( Sam, 14/04/2022 )
Hi, based on the specification.  It is suitable for 10A continuous and 15A peak. However you can connect to 17A if the voltage is low and only short time somewhere less than 1 microseconds. It is not recommended.
How do I connect the Dir pin with Arduino? Do I need to use extra wires along with Jumper? ( SB, 16/02/2022 )
Hi, you can use any suitable jumper wire.
can this be used to controll a model railroad, dcc ( rob nickell, 15/05/2021 )
Hi, you may drop an email to support@cytron.io for further technical assistance. Thanks:)
will this work with SAMC21 eval boards? ( IT, 25/02/2021 )
Hi, you may drop an email to support@cytron.io for further assistance. Thanks :)
Is this compatible with either the Arduino Wifi Rev2 or a Arduino Uno Rev3 AND any particular bluetooth module? ( Russ, 06/01/2021 )
Not answered yet.
Does the SHIELD-MD10 recirculate flyback energy when the motor is acting as a generator (for example, during dynamic braking?)?In other words, do the HIGH or LOW FETS turn on and off together to recirculate the energy when the backEMF voltage spikes, instead of sending it back to the power supply? ( Mateo, 11/09/2020 )
Hi, you may drop an email to support@cytron.io for technical assistance ya. Thanks :)
Can I use 6 D Cell Batteries in Series as a power input? (equates to about 9 volts-wire/internal resistance), it should still be above 7 volts, would this suffice for the minimum voltage? ( Rodney, 09/05/2020 )
Hi, yes it can be used. Thanks :)
